CPAC Champions Cup – QF results!

Hey ACP,

On Sunday was the round of Quarter-Finals in CPAC’s latest tournament, the Champions Cup. There were 4 in total and were supposedly meant to be 9 armies in the Quarter-Final, before the Dark Warriors dropped out after they had leadership problems and kind of died. SWAT took their place in the QF with UMA, so fought them instead of a tough 3-way with IW and MW. There were 2 close battles, and 2 fairly easy battles, but which were which?

This post brings you the results of each battle and the Semi-Final’s which will probably occur this weekend, along with my personal predictions with them. I’ll be asking you for your predictions too, so don’t leave just yet! A few notes before is each battles were meant to be 45 minutes long and normal rules applied too. For those who are unfamiliar with this kind of set up, the winner’s of the Quarter-Finals go onto fight in the Semi-Finals and then if they win that, they finally compete in the grand final!

Ninjas Vs Nachos

The Ninjas and the Nachos, they are usually two of the bestest friends, who now fight each other in a close Quarter-Final. A bit of background information, the Ninjas are currently ranked SECOND and the Nachos down in SIXTH. It seemed like it would be an easy win for the Ninjas, as they had also qualified with the maximum 9 POINTS and Nachos only just scraping through after being joint 1st with 2 other armies in their group with 6 POINTS. There seemed to be no chance for a cup upset, but it started off very differently.

  • Battle Time: 11:45 AM Penguin Standard Time
  • Ninjas Size: 25-30
  • Nachos Size: 20-25
  • Winner: Ninjas

At the start of the battle, I believe the Nachos had the edge in tactics and size and the Ninjas were simply trailing. However, as the battle progressed due to its long length the Ninjas slowly clawed it back and eventually took the lead int he 1st Quarter-Final, but it didn’t get easier from there. Both armies were incredibly close for most of the battle and it was really tough to pick a winner, hence the fact that tension was running high when Ninjas won it and Nachos came a close second. Both armies seem to have settled, and now Ninjas go through.

The Ninjas of Club Penguin now qualify for Semi-Final 2.

Army of Club Penguin Vs Light Troops

There has been a lot of history between ACP and LT in the past few months, and today was just another one of those battles. ACP entered the tie as clear favourites, but LT had also been getting good sizes over the coming week, this was labelled as the Quarter-Final to watch. ACP were ranked FIRST in CPAC’s latest top 10 and the Light Troops were a bit further down in FOURTH, but that did not mean the work was already done. ACP had qualified with also a maximum of 9 POINTS, whereas LT had just qualified by 1 point with 5 POINTS to take second place in their group.

  • Battle Time: 12:30 PM Penguin Standard TIme
  • Army of Club Penguin Size: 40-45
  • Light Troops Size: N/A
  • Winner: Army of Club Penguin

The battle was a great disappointment for viewers and ACP, a they were robbed of a battle. The Light Troops had been warned plenty of times that the battle would in fact take place in the Mine, and the Light Troops refused to show up. ACP stayed in the mine and got an automatic win without doing anything, as the Light Troops fought in the Iceberg instead of the designated room. That’s why LT’s size has been counted as N/A as they didn’t have one for the battle.

The Army of Club Penguin now qualify for Semi-Final 1.

Ice Warriors Vs Metal Warriors

The Ice Warriors are a noble army who has been around for some time, and the Metal Warriors are a frankly new army on the block who have intrigued us all as the most unexpected army to be in the Quarter-Finals. In CPAC’s latest top 10, the Ice Warriors and Metal Warriors were very close, IW took SEVENTH place closely followed by MW in EIGHTH place, although there was more of a difference in the points standings. IW took 7 POINTS to take 1st whereas MW could only manage 4 POINTS to take joint 2nd, ahead by only size difference. It was all to play for, who would win?

  • Battle Time: 10:15 AM Penguin Standard Time
  • Ice Warriors Size: 10-15
  • Metal Warriors Size: 13-17
  • Winner: Metal Warriors

What a surprise, the small sensation of Metal Warriors surprised everyone once again with a victory over the Ice Warriors, however it was very close. The battle took place in two rooms for an unknown reason, the dock and the iceberg. According to the battle report the Metal Warriors had the lead throughout the battle except for a 5 minute surge from the Ice Warriors to strongly finish, but the Metal Warriors still took the surprise victory over the IW.

Metal Warriors now qualify for Semi-Final 2

SWAT Vs Underground Mafias Army

SWAT filled in for a troubled Dark Warriors as they fought UMA in a Quarter-Final which was expected to be easy for SWAT, as reflected in the latest CPAC Top 10 where SWAT were placed at SIXTH in the top 10, where as UMA were UNPLACED in the top 10. SWAT had achieved 6 POINTS in their group to take joint 1st and qualify along with 2 other’s in their group, whereas UMA had only managed 4 POINTS from their group to set up a tie with SWAT in the final Quarter-Final.

  • Battle Time: 11 AM Penguin Standard Time
  • SWAT Size: 15-20
  • UMA Size: 1-3
  • Winner: SWAT

The battle went as expected, SWAT had a good strong size of 15-20 soldiers and UMA barely showed up, only having 3 soldiers to offer for a far from tasty Quarter-Final. It makes you wonder where the Dark Warriors could have been in this tournament  if they hadn’t had those controversial leadership changes, but you still have to congratulate SWAT who know go through to an event which may well be very tricky for them to overcome.

SWAT now qualify for Semi-Final 1

That’s it for all the Quarter-Final summaries, I hoped you enjoyed them! Most of them went how they were expected to, but I wonder if you got your predictions right? I know I didn’t as I’d counted the Metal Warriors out, but they turned it around for a shock win over the Ice Warriors. Do you think they can do it again, but now in the semi-finals? If you can’t figure it out already, the Semi-Final’s are currently looking like this:

  1. Army of Club Penguin Vs SWAT
  2. Ninjas Vs Metal Warriors

So, that’s two battles in the Semi-Final’s, however it won’t be the last for each army involved.  The winner’s of the Semi-Final’s will go ahead to take part in the final, but the losers aren’t out just yet as they will fight in a 3rd place consolation fight to see who takes that bronze medal. 😛 Now I did promise Semi-Final Predictions from me, and I’m sure you’ll get them don’t worry. Just look below for what I think will happen in the two battles.

Flipper7706’s Semi-Final Predictions

  • Semi-Final 1
  • Army Of Club Penguin Vs SWAT
  • Information: Both armies had the easy route through the Quarter-Final’s with their enemies either not showing or with a small force. We haven’t really seen the full force of each army in this current tournament for a while, so I think this will be an important battle for both armies. SWAT narrowly got through in the Group Stages, but I feel their luck will run out as ACP will take the victory from them, in a fairly easy fight.
  • Winner: Army of Club Penguin

So I feel that we will easily win our Semi-Final, what about the other one?

  • Semi-Final 2
  • Ninjas Vs Metal Warriors
  • Information: Ninjas, an army that has been in the top 3 consecutively for the past few weeks, against the surprise of the tournament – The Metal Warriors. You’d find it easy to predict this a few weeks back, but following MW‘s form coming into this battle, you reckon that they could fancy their chances a bit. However, I feel the power of the Ninjas, despite a below average performance against the Nachos, will just be too much for the Metal Warriors.
  • Winner: Ninjas

With my predictions I feel an ACP Vs Ninjas final will be in order, but what do you think?

The times for the Semi-Final events have been released, and I’ve given Kenneth1000 the chance to post about the Champions Cup instead of me. 😆 If you are interested in this Champions-Cup series I’ve been posting, you can check them out by looking through the “Older” sections of ACP site and reading them, I think it will be very interesting to see how the tournament has progressed from day 1.

Comment on your predictions for the Semi-Final, can MW continue their run?

P.S: If you have been wondering why a few people have had a countdown in their name to this day, it’s because today marks the year’s anniversary of Kenneth’s and mine leadership, and it’s a very special day for me and him. We’ve been through a lot of battles together and our year would never have been the same without you guys, the soldiers! A post may be posted later about it in more detail, but this is just to let you know!
