Nono: Yes, Shabbit. It means that I can come on to chat and call you a cruel tyrant if you give me reason to and you can’t do anything about it. However, it does NOT mean that a random n00b can come on and say “XOMGZ U SUX I HATEZ JU SO MUCHZ!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111!”
Fox: No, I meant the people who insult you then call it criticism are noobs. I think it’s an excellant idea, I just think that knowing ACP, they’ll find a way to break it…
Shab: You just called Nono a noob XD
Fox: That’s kind of what it sounds like to me, Shab But I don’t really care what anyone says, they’re noobs, just don’t listen to them. And sorry I couldn’t make it, are we nominating my replacement next meeting?
Shab: Does this new bill mean that someone can come onto chat and insult a mod/owner and call it criticism?
Well, I think that you can tell from the title that we got a LOT done!
First, we voted on some new senators! One spot is still left open. Although, congrats to our new FOUR SENATORS! They are…
Dragon720, Iasgae, TyloV5, and Bluey29123.
Congrats!
Here are some other things that we got done.
Our 3ic, Dr. Nono Jr. presented a Bill on free speech act, regarding rules around: http://drnonojr.wordpress.com/2009/06/25/the-free-speech-act/
This Bill was passed unanimously.
It read the following;
- No type of punishment shall be administered for criticism, unless the criticism includes offensive language or sexist, racist, or ethnicist content or is a spam message.
- The “no being ’smart’ to the mods” rule will be removed from the chat rules. However, if this “smartness” is displayed arbitrarily to just infuriate the mod, this falls under the catagory of spam and will be punished as such.
- This bill applies to both owners and mods.
- Any violations of this bill can be reported to an owner (unless an owner committed the violation, in which case they shall be reported to a main owner, or a main owner committed this violation, in which case the senate will decide on their punishment through a vote) for punishment to be administered.
